Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons introduced Junya Watanabe to the world of high fashion in 1993, just after he graduated from the design school Bunka Fashion College. The founder of Comme des Garcons has always valued Junya Watanabe. Observation of the Tokyo style, intentional deconstruction, playing with textures and functionality have enriched the avant-garde tradition of Rei Kawakubo brand.
