FROM THE SLOPES TO THE STREET,
THE TRENDIEST WINTER DESIGNS
IN APRÈS-SKI STYLE
DOWN JACKETS
The foundation of winter looks—especially those in the après-ski style—is a practical yet striking down jacket. Which designs should you look for this season to ensure you find a model resistant to both the elements and shifting trends? Discover the selections that have captured our hearts.
Let's start with pieces from brands recognized as pioneers of winter technology, namely Moncler Grenoble and Woolrich. If we had to pick our favorites, it would be the ‘Laplance’ in timeless brown or the creamy ‘Alsea’. However, we must admit that bolder options have also caught our attention. Brands like Perfect Moment, Khrisjoy, or Adidas in collaboration with Stella McCartney have adorned their pieces with asymmetric patterns, ultra-colorful graffiti-inspired motifs, and even... sequins and crystals. Is there a better way to stand out on the slopes?
SKI SUITS AND SKI PANTS
Although on the slopes we most often see ski suits or pants in colors matching ski jackets, this is not a rule that must be strictly followed. In the spirit of the rule that there are no rules in fashion, you can, for example, opt for timeless black, a monochromatic look, or create an ensemble based on contrast.
Black appeared in the collections of many brands; however, we were particularly drawn to a model from Perfect Moment, crafted from a fabric reminiscent of the leather that is dominating this season. The brand Moncler in their Grenoble line has chosen a bold shade of yellow, a combination of timeless cream with navy and hints of red, as well as the much-loved violet. Fendi, proving that minimalism flourishes in fashion, covered its designs with a subtle, understated white monogram.
WARM SWEATERS
No matter how you plan to spend your free time this winter, a warm sweater is a must-have in your wardrobe. We have prepared suggestions that are perfect for the slopes, for walks, demanding hikes on the trail, and even... days spent at your favorite restaurant with an Aperol in hand.
First of all – patterns. The ideal après-ski sweater stands out with an interesting print. Take a closer look at the designs by Perfect Moment, Moncler, and Alanui. Choose from distinctive ‘ski’ prints, the iconic star motif, internationally recognized logos, and colorful embroidery inspired by scenic landscapes. On the other hand, if your look is centered around a standout jacket or ski suit featuring unique details, you may simply opt for a minimalist sweater in a subdued hue. You’ll find these at Lisa Yang and Jil Sander.
FUNCTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Warm clothing is one thing, but practical accessories are another. They not only perfectly complete your look, but above all, enhance your comfort, functionality, and insulation. We already have those pieces in our wardrobes that will undoubtedly serve us all season long—how about you?
If you haven’t chosen styles crafted from the finest quality materials yet, we’ve got you covered... Look for wool hats and scarves in the Perfect Moment, Yves Salomon and Ferragamo collections, while gloves designed to withstand rigorous weather conditions are always available in the Moncler Grenoble portfolio. Ski goggles, for example from Chloé, are an excellent solution for the slopes, but after you leave them, it’s worth having equally stylish sunglasses on hand. In terms of design, we are most impressed with the models from Tom Ford and Gucci.
SHOES FOR SPECIAL TASKS
A winter look wouldn’t be complete without comfortable, waterproof boots. The best choice is, of course, snow boots—besides protecting you from heavy snowfall, they’ll elevate even the most understated outfits. See for yourself.
Moon Boot is a sure bet when it comes to these specific styles. This season, the popular brand went all out and, apart from the well-known colorful designs featuring rainbow, star, or tie-dye motifs, has also released models embellished with glitter and soft, fur-like textures. Moncler has designed new quilted ‘Gaia’ snow boots, available for both fans of extravagance and lovers of minimalism, while UGG has reinvented its constructions with enhanced water resistance and protection against all external factors.
