While lace appears on runways relatively often, this season it is undeniably one of the key trends to consider when building your New Year's wardrobe. Don't be deceived by the classic version of this material, as we unanimously opt for its unique version this spring and summer.

Following Balenciaga's example, one can dare to choose black designs reminiscent of sensual nightwear, or, drawing inspiration from Gucci and Saint Laurent collections, select sophisticated constructions in colors that will catch the eye in a split second. THE GREAT RETURN OF BOHO

And if not the 80s, then by taking an even longer journey back in time, you can transport your style to the 70s, embracing the iconic boho aesthetic. This style, although it made a return in the previous season thanks to Chemena Kamali's debut collection, is set to play the most decisive role this year.

Beyond another stunning boho edition from Chloé, it's worth considering hippie designs with fringes and hand-embroidered leather pieces by Isabel Marant, knitted constructions by Zimmermann or phenomenal offerings featuring the now-cult Paisley motif from Etro.

EMBELLISHMENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

From glittery jackets, jewel-encrusted tops and dresses, to sequin pants and skirts. This year, designers have ensured that every woman can find something for herself, so in addition to covering designs with the aforementioned subtle pink, they have also embraced the 'more is more' rule. Spring-summer collections featured a lot of embellishments.

Crystals added character to the splendid constructions of Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana, sequins perfectly diversified the seemingly classic designs of Gucci, glitter enhanced the spectacular blazers from Saint Laurent and pearl beads enriched the evening projects of Balmain.
