Y/Project was founded in 2010 by Moroccan designer Yohan Serfaty, and Glenn Martens became its creative director in 2013. Originally launched as a menswear brand, it soon incorporated a dedicated womenswear line thanks to Mertens. The Belgian designer introduced a radically exploratory design concept characterized by androgynous silhouettes, deconstructed, unorthodox shapes and elements derived from Gothic architecture. Y/Project for women presents reimagined wardrobe staples such as T-shirts, shirts, bomber jackets, jeans and sweatpants with distorted, intriguing proportions that go beyond what’s universal.
