Wannasiri Kongman and Jesse Dorsey met in 2004. He was a musician by profession, while she had just moved from Bangkok to start her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology. "Wannasiri instilled in me a tremendous passion for handbags – we observed them on the street and examined every detail of them together, almost obsessively," Jesse describes in an interview with Vitkac representatives.
Two years later, in 2006, they presented their first meticulously refined BOYY collection in New York.
This talented design duo has been creating accessories for years for confident individuals who appreciate modern constructions and meticulous attention to detail. They have won the hearts of their clients with the playful distance they bring to the classic interpretation of luxury, without sacrificing even a hint of quality in their products. Wannasiri Kongman and Jesse Dorsey, using only the highest quality materials sourced directly from Italy, stand out in the fashion world with their remarkably artistic sensibility.
In their creative process, the brand draws inspiration primarily from art — the sculptures of Constantine Nivola, the architectural details of Carlo Scarpa, the functional designs of Ettore Sottsass and Josef Hoffmann, and even the music of Leonard Cohen from the period when he lived on the Greek island of Hydra.
