Louis Vuitton unveils new variations of the Capucines handbag,
this
season embodied by Olympia of Greece.
A women’s wardrobe icon and the epitome of the Maison’s savoir-faire, the
Capucines bag takes its name from the very first Louis Vuitton store in
Paris, on rue Neuve-des-Capucines. Season after season, since its creation
in 2013, the bag’s elegant architectural lines have remained timeless, yet
with ever-changing expressions.
Olympia of Greece, a friend of the House, perfectly embodies the freshness
and sophistication of the Capucines’ latest iterations. In this new
campaign, the young woman – a style icon and modern princess – showcases
her bag in the full bloom of London streets, sporting slingback pumps and
trainers, tweed dress and printed suit...
Two new colour block Capucines MM (medium) will be launched. The first will be available in a warm Arizona shade enlivened with Taurillon leather tones of Ruby on the logo, Wood on the handle and Coquille on the flap. The second design will capture the paired-back elegance of black Taurillon leather, contrasted with accents in the same subtle harmony of shades.
Another must-have in the collection, the Capucines Flower Chain, is adorned with a brand-new golden chain, promising a variety of carrying options. The jewel-like Monogram flowers which embellish the chain are carefully moulded before being injected with enamel and hand-polished. This bag - sure to lift any look - is available in black (MM), Tanzanite blue (BB), and Pondichéry pink (Mini).
Perfect for those warm evenings, the Capucines Summer Stardust is inspired by the starry skies of a never-ending summer’s night. Two different colours are applied to the leather, with a third metallic shade creating a striking shimmering effect by which the bag’s surface colour changes and glistens in the light. The bag’s golden LV signature is also enhanced in a precious mother of pearl effect.
Finally, the iconic Taurillon leather Capucines, in a mini version complete with a large strap, now comes in Scarlet red; a strong, feminine colour fit for an everyday look or evening affair.
