THINK WARM THOUGHTS FOR THE AUTUMN-WINTER SEASON

AND DISCOVER THE HOTTEST TRENDS

Men’s fashion has been stirring emotions in recent seasons like it hasn’t in years. Designs are moving beyond the comfort zone where

we used to place our established ideas about masculinity and the male wardrobe. Rather than shocking for the sake of it, they are pushing boundaries, giving

men the green light for unrestrained sartorial fun, free expression of their creativity, and a true reflection of who they really are.

Current trends rebel against rigid stereotypes, embrace entirely new forms, and redefine what we thought we knew so well.

Discover the trends that will dominate the autumn-winter season.

RELAX – BUT MAKE IT FASHION

Fashion is a reflection of the changes taking place in society. Perhaps this trend is a sign that we are increasingly valuing peace of mind and blissful relaxation. Without rest, creativity is hard to come by—so it’s no surprise that relaxation has become a source of inspiration for many designers. The popular phrase ‘work–life balance’ is echoed in the looks dominating both the runways and the fashion capitals’ streets, blending more formal wardrobe elements with the comfort of a day spent in pajamas. JW ANDERSON took this quite literally, featuring pillows as stylish accessories. Eye-catching with their colorful prints, the iconic Versace silk sets combine comfort and undeniable luxury. Etro takes this trend even further, offering patterned jumpsuits.

Collections from the most renowned fashion houses such as Saint Laurent or Bottega Veneta feature belted coats resembling elegant robes. When the weather outside makes leaving your bed unappealing, a necessary outing will certainly be made more enjoyable by this season’s must-have scarf—preferably quilted like a duvet or oversized like a blanket—and slip-on shoes with added insulation, as cozy as slippers. Thanks to the rising popularity of fabrics as soft as sheep you count before falling asleep, fashion can transport you straight into a dreamland...

THE TREND FOR... POCKETS

The history of cargo pants dates back to 1938 and, like many practical inventions, they were originally created for the military. Designed with paratroopers in mind, the large pockets were used to store ammunition and radios but quickly became useful in other branches as well, keeping dressings, food rations, or maps close at hand. In the 1980s, cargo pants were marketed as wardrobe staples for fishermen, travelers, and athletes. A decade later, they became favorites among artists in hip-hop music videos and pop stars, soon making their way into the wardrobes of fans and fashion lovers alike. Today, the practical pockets are mostly seen as a stylish accent, elevating a wide range of designs—not just the iconic cargo trousers.

Dsquared2 offers the 'Sexy Cargo' model, while Jacquemus showcases its own thoughtfully named version: 'Croissaint'—perhaps a playful nod to yet another potential use? Even though the original intent was to store and conceal, this season, it’s worth showing those pockets off. Countless possibilities and limitless creativity have brought Versace a step further, introducing utilitarian elements even to sophisticated designs. Who will offer more? Complete your look and choose bomber jackets or parkas—both military-inspired garments known for their style and… ample pockets.

GRUNGE IS NOT DEAD

Fashion is rebelling. Flannel shirts and oversized cardigans, mismatched prints carefully paired together, and designs styled to look worn—or even damaged—may seem rather unkempt at first glance, but that's actually one of the most coveted effects among autumn-winter looks. This kind of aesthetic chaos, embraced by a new generation of fashion lovers, seems to radiate far more optimism than its original version represented thirty years ago by Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana. Here, the only rule is: there are no rules—and if there are, breaking them is recommended. Take a close look at the collections from Diesel, Dolce & Gabbana or Gucci to find the perfect vintage-style leather jacket. By combining simple jeans with a skirt or a long shirt, you can create practical, layered looks ideal for the season—guaranteed to turn heads like on the Givenchy runway.

This trend has also gained momentum thanks to those who wanted to pay homage to a true legend whose work always existed at the intersection of music and fashion—
Vivienne Westwood. Her incredible courage, which throughout her life drove the British designer to activism, and her rebellious punk aesthetic interwoven with historic references will remain forever in collective memory. The tartan pattern she loved ruled John Galliano's collection for Maison Margiela. The motif has made its return to the runways and certainly won’t fade from them anytime soon, so make sure you have it in your wardrobe too.

LENGTH MATTERS

The coat—one of the most coveted wardrobe essentials for autumn, the hero of many closets and countless films—undoubtedly comes in many forms this season. Worn by spies, magicians, and detectives, by James Bond and Inspector Gadget alike. From the classic beige trench coat by Burberry, which remains just as iconic as the character who wore it in the 1942 movie 'Casablanca', to long leather coats straight out of 'The Matrix' (1999), showcased on the runway by the likes of Saint Laurent... It's also worth paying special attention to styles finished with soft shearling—who would have thought that even the villain Bane ('The Dark Knight Rises', 2012) would have his moment as a style icon?

During the autumn-winter presentation by
Loewe, coats trailed behind models like royal robes, but this season it’s not just about the length... Oversized collars (notably at Ami) and padded shoulders also took center stage. At the Gucci show, eleven men’s silhouettes in coats made an appearance, while the runway of Bottega Veneta and Givenchy featured fifteen, and the aforementioned house known for its love of mysterious black—Saint Laurent—presented as many as twenty-three. That’s more than enough for you to find (more than) one perfect design for yourself.

ELEGANCE LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Casual streetwear has taken a back seat, giving way to the return of more formal looks—both classic silhouettes and fresh takes that showcase the boundless imagination of designers. The much-discussed 'quiet luxury' aesthetic continues to thrive. Tailored simplicity for modern times was on display at Ferragamo and Givenchy. This autumn, we’ll be reaching more eagerly for timeless 'derby' shoes or leather ankle boots, while the heated debates over the latest sneakers will shamelessly be replaced by comparing our… bag collections with friends.

Where did imagination lead those who let it run wild? Familiar gentleman’s silhouettes have been reinvented with unexpected materials and textures. The new elegance is bolder—with
Gucci and Saint Laurent embracing transparency, sequins, and ‘naughty’ fabrics like latex and leather. The Italian duo Dolce & Gabbana injected a touch of sensuality into office dress codes—something previously reserved mainly for womenswear. This time, the men's collection also featured lace, corsets, and even… nudity. The absence of shirts made a striking impression on the Rick Owens runway, while at Fendi, it was only partially missing, as deconstruction revealed a single shoulder. For those less daring, ultra-wide suit trousers are a trend straight from the collections of Kenzo, Ami, and Amiri.
